Angry Hp tuner vs Trifecta

I have a 2010 Chevy hhr ss automatic with gm stage 1 installed. Having to many problem with the stage has been to the dealer back and forward. A week ago went for the fourth time and they told me that they change a sensor this time before they have done resoldering wire and they re route some wires so the wont be touching other surfaces . Work Ok for couples of day and problem back . The 3rd I went worked good for 4 month I love the performance it give me They told me if keep with problem they suggested taking out the stage kit. What should I do? Or are they missing something. I won't like to loss the power the stage give but it's too much going back and forward. I will really appreciate a respond. HELPPPP. ARE THEY MISSING SOMETHING OR SHOULD I TAKE STAGE OUT AND GET ANOTHER TUNE AND WHICH.

I will really appreciate the recommendations.

P.S. If they remove stage like they say will I lose my money. Will GM refund me the money for the stage I bought and installed when I bought the vehicle.

I don't know GM policy but I dont think they would take it back since it was installed. I would keep it since you have and get a real tune. If you get hptuners I have a great tuner that will take care of you. Has GM reflash the tune? What does it do when you drive it? No boost? Surging?

Just talk to dealer and they told if I want they can do to wire again or take out the stage 1 kit they have the permission of GM for a refund. But what I want to know is what you guys recommend Taking stage out and put another stage with a trifecta or hp tune or do the tune with the stage one on. Do you think the problem is the tune or the stage kit ? I'm just all confused and upset with the problem but want the power just need to know whats works better for my hhr ss auto tranny. And beside that I havent done nothing else. I don't want to go to wild but beside the stage and tune recommended I Wil like to add a little more to help for a little more power like if is ok to do intake and what kind and some other little stuff without too many alteration.
Or sorry forgot the problem. It drive ok and suddenly and loss power and won't boost over 5 p.s.i. Stays like that for the rest of the day or can last one to two hour. Turn it off and sometime go to normal. Time pass and is doing more regularly.

Thank You I really appreciated your expertise

Hard to say for sure, but if I had to guess, I'd look at the lower wires, might have rubbed.

Sounds like the lower TMAP harness to me too. I replaced the lower connector and the TMAP last Friday and so far so good. I have HPTuners and highly recommend it! It is nice to have the 3 bar TMAP to control boost over 21 psi but as I understand it you can still tune nicely with the stock sensors. Seeing as your harness has been chopped to pieces already I'd stick with the 3 bar TMAPs and let SS hook you up with a tuner. If you go back to stock and they are willing to reimburse you that would be great, but I'd want a new harness.

HPTuners has quite a bit of the "code" unlocked, so in reality, the GMTU kit (Stage 1) could be skipped. But you will still need the 3bar TMAPs.

Info above is incorrect, if you are not going to install a bigger turbo you do not need the sensors. I have hp tuners and have 0 issues with the stock sensors in place. hp tuners has also unlocked more data with the last update.

Then tell me one thing. If the 3 Bar sensor is not needed, then why does GM include it into the kit then?

Without the 3 Bar I understand from the forum my car will throw a CEL and not run right on GMs tune. I guess GM doesn't want me to just run a copy of their tune with HPTuners and not pay them any money. You can make more power than the GM tune with the 2 Bars and HPTuners. So why? Because GM wrote their tune that way.
