If you are working with the stock airbox then it will not work. The injen pipe cross over top of the motor. If you have a custom intake you can run the injen piping anything can made to work.

Intresting, several companies make a good pipe at a good price, why buy a historically Honda part then cut it down?, I'm gonna guess.. to be differnt?

If cutting are you losing the flange?

well at the time i was shopping for an upper ic pipe the injen was the best buy by far (this was just before all the prices on the downpipes, ic's and piping all lowered drastically to what they cost now). the injen pipe is also like 2 feet shorter than any other pipe so there is less volume to fill. anywho....i ended up buying it and went to go put it on and realized that it won't fit with the hhr airbox. rather than sending it back and ordering a different one i started looking for an intake that i could possibly modify to fit the hhr. i found a used injen one for a decent price....i didn't want to pay 300 bucks for one and cut it up and it still not be able to fit.....so the injen cold air from a cobalt ss/tc worked fine and was reasonably priced. it bolts up to the turbo perfectly, has the connection for the pvc vent tube, has the maf flange....so it works. i am going to do a lower cp with maf relocate, use some 3" piping from treadstone, and fab up a full 3" intake with no maf and no vent tube connection and route the vent tube to the catch can. i will be doing this in the next couple months

I'll say using the Injen is smart, especially if it eliminates the piece right off the turbo!

Losing the stock piece off the turbo netted me 12whp. Now running the Dejon tube and ZZP Cobalt upgraded intake tube fabbed to work. Similar filter location.

Who are these several companies? K&N using the huge stock airbox and the cheap Dejon pipe which still uses the most restrictive piece in the intake?

The factory set up actually draws cold air. This draws heated air from the engine compartment.
