Hmmm. Fisker Karma? At that price, they ought to call it the Fister.

Keep away as they are having issues with fires. The Engine heat is too much and too little under hood air flow. They lost one and they are now looking at the others. They have so much crap under the hood the turbo heat is very high.

I saw one a few months ago. It is better looking in person vs photos.

Look for one while you can as I see them going down for the count unless someone buys them. This company will be another green engergy goverment investment bust. The only good part is Al Gore will lose his own money on it.

I would not be suprised if Tesla gets bought by Toyota.

There is just too little market for electric cars at that kind of price. People in that bracket will opt for the Bently GT before they go for a Fisker.

For electric cars to make it they have to make it in the $25K-$35K range. Look for GM to move the price down on the Volt with the next two Gens.

what is the actual difference between the auto and manual SS 2.0 that causes the difference in HP ratings? I see the manuals are at 260 but the auto is like 235. Just looking ahead to what i can do to my 2010 auto SS to bring HP into the 300-330 HP range. Thanks all

looking at the GM Performance kit as well as some of the Stage # kits from ZZP

The difference is in the tune in the ECM

Yeah, I think they were worried about beating up the auto trans, but by the time they offered the GMPP (or “stage1” as the community is wont to call it) tune, they figured out that it wasn’t a big problem, and/or the tune for the auto includes measures to protect it (I only speculate) so it went to 290 HP for both auto and manual. Rumor has that it’s really higher tho, at least for the manual.

Last I checked you can still get the GM kit but a GM dealer needs to install. ZZP uses the exact same MAP sensors, costs less, and may be a better tune, certainly faster, don’t know if it’s as safe for the car.

I’m in the midst of my engine builder putting together a 2.4 LE9 block with a 2.0 DI head and HPFP no turbo or blower, he wants to dyno that and decide from those numbers which way to go. It is for a sand buggy his son built .

great info, i could not be any greener when it comes to knowledge concerning this engine. Not only is this my first SS its also my first turbo performance car of any kind. All my other experiance is around vintage and current day "muscle car" type stuff. Im really excited about exploring performance mods on this thing, ive had so much fun with my LT Panel when you pile on roughly double the HP im sure its gonna be a hoot

My end goal is something in the lower 3##HP range which seems fairly do-able. I am curious what the trans can handle, but have not searched that info yet, saw some claims of four hundred or so (im not an extreme heavy foot driver but do like to have some fun ) .
