Low Boost

So my 09 is at the dealer for the recall also asked them to look into a low boost issue only 10 pounds at wot and after the car sits for a while very low brake pressure they called to say they can't find any problems, so frustrating

More to this story ?
Like. Did the dealer say 10 lbs boost was OK ? If so, I would find another dealer who could at least do a leak test on the turbo.

Thanks firemangeorge Yes they feel since there is no code turbo must be fine, but they are checking into what normal boost should be and will test the brakes Monday morning after the car has sat awhile, its been their all week for the recall, struts, and a lock actuator I guess they are waiting on the door lock actuator to arrive on Monday

Yes you have an issue as 10 PSI is not the norm. Just because there is no code does not mean there is no issue. A good dealer would know that. :thumb:

The official answer from Gary Lang Chevrolet about my low boost is that the cars getting 15-18 pounds of boost were calibrated that way from the factory and my car was not that just sounds like a load of BS so I guess I need to take is somewhere and have a leak test done

While it does seem low.

I'm curious as to what kind of HP/TQ numbers are you seeing. Does yours have the RPD?
