Is that the piece that's at the top of my first pic? That's the thing that scraped up my arms.

I am by no means an authority on this, but IMO I would say yes, I do think that you will feel a difference. Now understand in "everyday normal driving" you may feel nothing or a very slight difference in when the boost comes on, but if you have the Auto and use Lauch control, you will notice it more. I would also imagine you may notice it more with the 5-spd.
I also think that this spring is an enhancement and that you would feel the effects more with some type of tune, rather than without. There has been some discussion that the spring has no effect on when the boost comes on, but I can only tell you from my experience that it made a difference and that is even with the Hahn (BSR) tune already in the car. If you have the Auto, you just have to learn and figure out what gears work best for your type of driving, I know I did and still learning everyday as I drive, it's just more fun that way............................................... ...............

So what is the general consensus? Is it worth the $$ for the mod or just stick to the stock spring?

Apparently you are not reading the posts on this thread, I have the Auto and have posted that there is an increase in performance from using this spring. Again it depends on your driving habits. Driving normally you may feel a slight difference, now move the gear selector or playing with the 5-spd, you will notice a difference. For the small $$ investment, I know it is a good mod....
