Old rookie I got to start somewhere!
Because i know little about these high tech turbo charged complicated engines my question is how does one know if my SS has a High performance tune?
It has some modifications like INJEN tuned air Intake system a MPX intercooler and more I've had it since 2012 I just didn't drive it much now that I am retired I drive it more and its addicting so its time for me to learn what I can so I can speak your lingo, LOL Thanks JD... |
On a stock tune, the boost max is around 14-15 PSI.
|
In HHR SS speak, the fuel door should have a sticker indicating high octane fuel is required , the sensors will be blue with Bosch embossed on them.

Also important...........................Have fun... :twothumbs:

Thanks Old Blue I have both the fuel door high octane fuel warning and the Bosch sensor with #281 002 845
so this means I have factory GM tune? I take it. Thanks JD... |
That might be the number from Bosch...

That was alot of good info "Old Blue" I will read all of it I am having problems with cel codes I took car too a good auto shop 3 weeks ago they replaced my clutch (CLUTCH KIT) and I wanted them to inspect it too. They said I need to drive it more to complete any incomplete monitors so on way home i got a cel warning I checked it with reader and had 2 codes p2261 and p2187 they said to clear codes then do drive cycles which I did 4 or 5 times now I have 4 codes and 1 monitor P2261, P2187, p0420 p0101 anyway I'm on a mission to figure it all out. LOL
