Has anyone ran an open airbox lid on their HHR SS with an aftermarket filter? I recently took off my lid just b/c I never had and ran it off for a little bit. You can hear the turbo a lot better, just not sure if it helps or hinder the performance. main concern is more dust getting in. If you are running an aftermarket filter, what size?

Wow, quite a lot of opinions there!!! All I know, is it's definently louder. My best time at the track came with cooler air, no doubt. I did also have the lid off, so if what's said is true and you lose power with it off, I possibly could have had an even better time with the lid on!!! We'll never know. I just wanted to make sure it doesn't hurt anything if someone chose to run without it.
