Performance Parts

Hi Guys, I am new to this site. I enjoy reading the posts as they are very informative. I have a few questions I need some help with. I just purchased an 09' SS automatic.

1. What is included in the stage 1 kit. Does anyone have a part # and price.

2. The same for stage 2.

3. The Brembo brake kit. Has anyone installed one, what is involved for installation. What is the kit made up of ? How about a part #

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mofo

Part # for the stage kit is: 19212670 and consist of 2 TMAP sensors, 2 connectors with wiring, 2 O-rings, 1 GMPP sticker and 1 ''Premium gas only'' sticker. The kit comes with a serial number that's used by the GM techs to validate the calibration for your particular SS, and download the necessary software. The tech will also need your vehicle's PIN as well. There's no stage 2 kit as of now.

The Brembo's come only as an option on the 5sp SS. I think 1 or 2 members here have installed the Brembo's on automatics, so i'll let them explain to you the required steps and parts #.

Good luck, and post pics of your ride. We like pics!

Nordiques are long gone now... Wish they're still there though.

As for the winter tires... no way. I don't even drive the SS when it's raining.

Look at http://www.weather.com/outlook/healt...r_topnav_aches

I got my SS at 7PM on 6/16/09
We have had at least some rain every day since then
I know it's my fault
I have also driven it 2600 miles since then.
Rain or shine.
It handles the rain pretty good but 2 towns North from us got golfball sized hail less than an hour before we drove through on our way to NH for $40 Marlboros ($75 here).
Golf ball sized.
I want a quonset hut shaped tent to park in.
That garage-shaped thing next to my house is a woodshop.
I really want a roof over my SS.

2600 miles already ??? Geees ! Did you buy an extended warranty for your SS? At this pace, your regular GM warranty will expire pretty quickly. Then again, I guess you bought your SS to be driven. Like it should.

Mine is a carport Queen, sunny day weekend driver. She's living an easy life. 20K miles.... maybe in 10 years..... maybe.

Bumper to bumper for 6 years or 100K miles.
We know what'll come first.

The dealer's detailing contractor put a tiny zing in the back bumper when he was buffing out a scratch.
The sales manager offered to repaint the whole bumper or 3 free oil changes.
We scheduled a repaint but I reconsidered today when I washed it.
10 miles on a dry day and I couldn't notice the zing. Black gets dusty so fast!
I talked it over with sales man and he offered a full tank of premium and the cargo organizer.

We put 15.4 gallons in (glad it was near empty!) and my organizer will be here by Thursday :twothumbs

It should work for the auto, yes?

Fronts should be enough, I'm more into MPG than MPH these days.
Get to speed quick and get to zero quick is good enough for me.

And the occasional 110 MPH romp.
oops, did I type that out loud?
