Question Stage 1 kit

Alright well i am finally going to go for it. I will hopefully buying the stage kit in a few months and i just want to know the best way of doing this. Do i go through the dealer 100% or do i buy the kit from an outside source? What did you that have it do? i know there are many threads on this topic but i just want to know your overall experience on getting it done and the best way of getting it done.

Check crate engine depot, that's where I got mine last year when they were offering a sale. Interview multiple dealers. The first two I went to didn't inspire me with confidence but I finally found one that does a lot of performance work on Camaros and Corvettes.

And bring this with you to the dealer. I did and was thanked by them... It's been over a year and a half now and 19k miles since I had mine done and I have not had any problems whatsoever.

Go with superchips cortex instead. They warranty the powertrain and Im pulling 0-60s in 5.2-5.3 consistantly with traction on and not using launch mode. You can time your 0-60, 1/4mile, etc. The auto stock is in the low 7's.

2008 HHR SS Auto w/superchips cotex tune, k&n drop in and 245/40/18 nitto neogens.

Hey, Just stating the facts. Do what you want with it. I think its a good option with the auto and I stayed away from the stage 1 because all of the problems Ive read about it on this forum. Big man challenging some one with an auto and only a superchips tune. Im sure with all your mods you could pull on me, but this is my work car and the warranty is nice to have.

GM Warranty doesn't cover Superchips...... just saying.

i highly doubt that Superchips will replace your turbo if it blows or your engine if you snap a rod or crack a piston.

Ha GM loves me. New injectors, PCV system and a new turbo all under warranty.
