I've been using the Superchips tuner on my 09 SS for the last year and a half and am very satisfied. Its good qualities are: It's very reliable and easy to use. The down side: It doesn't squeeze out all the power that other tuners do and since there aren't a lot of HHR's out there, Superchips has stopped developing new updates. The device is fully supported, but they aren't putting any time into improving the tune. It's a numbers game.

There are those on this forum who have low opinions of the Superchips tuner, but my opinion is that it is a good product with some shortcomings. If you know what the shortcomings are and can live with them, the product works well.

Go out to the Superchips Forum and search on HHR.

Also, check Amazon. You may save a couple of dollars.

If the increase they are talking about are compared to stock. The stg1 from chevy does that much and is ok with warranty. Especially on an auto, from 235 to 290 thats adding 55 hp and with the new connectors should be easier to get it installed properly. I have it and , whole different car and the mxm4's didnt stand a chance of holding the additional power. I will eventually add a Trifecta dual tune, since I live close to Vince and can have it done in person no emails and logs, If I ever get done spending 100's on other stuff for it. I have read many posts about that chip and none were negitive .
