Is this Trifecta "canned" tune worth $200?
I recently purchased an '09 HHR SS 5 speed ...
My car is 100% stock and I am just looking to improve every day driving performance a bit. This car will probably never see a track, so I'm not even looking to break into the 13's.
Is this LNF budget tune worth the $200?

I have ran the "canned" tune for 1 1/2yrs now and most definitely it is worth it. The Difference is night and day, because of upgrades i am having to go a different route, but for bang for your butt, well it is awesome.

I was seeing boost spike up to 25-26 psi and settle to 22-24, but i also have the GMTU 3-bar map sensors which allows trifecta to tune for more boost.

and how about those 3-bar map sensors? what kind of work would that be to install before the tune?
oh and thanks for your help, I'm starting to want more power out of mine(who doesn't?)

so will it beat the-- 22psi "spikes"/17-19 psi after settling from superchips?
With 3-bar maps, yes. With 2.5 bar, unsure but I'm betting yes.

Get (2) 3-bar map sensors and wire harness adapters from CED. Replace upper map sensor(on intake manifold) and lower map sensor on cold side charge pipe. Lower sensor is a pain to get to and requires slight modification to fit on cold side pipe. Instruction for lower map sensor instal can be found in GMTU installation instructions.

This thread is looking a lot like the one I started, I think we are looking for the same things.
Is the gmtu installation instructions online somewhere to review?
What's a typical time estimate if I have a shop do it?
Thanks again
Oh, and I'm still not sure what the difference is between the budget and a custom if only mod is the sensors.
(I'm a 2009 automatic, I think ss fan said Vince needed to do something custom??)
