They both have their advantages. All depends on what you want to do with the car.

XtremeSS you are a life saver, thanks. And good idea, firemangeorge.

Has anyone ever used a different cable to load their tune before? My brother tuned his Pontiac G8 GT recently and they included a cord that looks identical to the EZ Flash cable.

Would it work to load a Trifecta tune to an HHR? It would definitely save me some cash.

Not sure if the other cable would work, doubt it. I would just use what trifecta offers.
Edit brainfart: actually I think it may work since it a gm. I believe the red cable is widely used amongst most gm obd2.

They usually don't go bad but if something happens you'll be prepared.
What could go wrong? Forgetting to trim the tab on the lower sensor which doesn't let the sensor seat correctly. Result: damaged O-ring.

Get some spares.
Hmm wondering now if my oring is damaged.
Somehow even with all of the sticky notes and highlights and pictures thanks to the info on here My dealer still did not grind the edge off of mine.
But they where great about taking it right back in and even replacing the lower charge pipe free since it appeared that they might have cracked the plastic pipe coming out of charge pipe.
One more thing to put on the list of things to do

Well, I guess it doesn't matter anymore. Just ordered the Trifecta tune with free EZ flash cable from BNR! Thanks for the help, guys.
