Turbo Upgrade Name VS Stage 1 name
Hyper I'm not doggin you on this. That is the correct name. But everyone is going to call it what they call it. Kind of like every tissue I see I call a Kleenix, they aren't made by them but it's what I have said my entire life. It's all good no matter what people call it. And your research shows what the kit is truly called.
I just found it crazy how with the HHR it is one name and the Coblat they will call it another.
I was being my usual. I don't care what it's called. And my story goes, wife wanted HHR for years-I avoided as they were underpowered in my mind. Finally gave in and bought her one last week, but part of the deal was I added the turbo upgrade kit so I could tolerate driving it. But to anyone who asks me on the street.......yeah, it's stock.
I referred to it as this when I brought it down to my local wizard for the install...

As a matter of fact, I brought this article and they thanked me for it (mainly for the tips at the end).

well didn't they release a stage 1 for the cobalt SS. Flash and the sensors and the stage 2 comes with the upgraded intake. something to do with the design of the airbox (movement issues). which the HHR SS doesn't need to worry about.
thats the last I heard, but i dont hang out at css

A friend of mine was peripherally involved with the Cobalt SS project. During development, the turbo upgrade only fetched an embarrassingly small gain because of air intake problems we don't have on the HHR. The kit would have required substantial modifications to the induction system. This was before the Obama takeover of GM and subsequent breakup of the SS development team.
