Used my Superchips Cortex tuner tonight

I just flashed my HHR SS with the superchips cortex quick tune, wow what a difference. Went from 15psi to 22psi! I took it out to test it and I had a slow poke in an old ford ranger in front of me doing 20mph. I wanted to test the tune so i passed him and as soon as i hit the gas the tires started squealing and it scared the old man in the truck lol. i had to let off it to get traction again. it was $318 well spent. i will get into the advanced tune and adjust the shift speed, firmness and the redline a little more tomorrow.

meh  , i figured it was better to go this route than to have an under-educated tech screw up my car. The issue rate on the stage 1 installation is unbelievable, I would rather not deal with it and do it my self and know it is done right the first time.

I wouldn't say they are reliable but if I start having major mechanical issues I will just buy another car. I am fortunate enough that I can afford something if I need it. Cars are to enjoy so that is what I plan on doing.

amen brother!!! i got my car for performance reasons,so i threw my warranty out the window the day i got it. you are dead on with all the problems the gm tune is giving people. hell, the techs can babrly repair a stock ss and people are trusting them to install a performance kit. the second a gm installed tune car blows up,they will find ways not to fix it. when they do get around to it,you won't have your car for about 3-6 months.

best qoute i have ever heard.."leave the car stock,if you are worried about warranties".

Yeah I have some free oil changes with my car when i bought it a few months back but I will not trust them to even do that. I have seen these highly trained gm techs forget to tighten drain plugs and cross thread filters too lol. If a simple oil change is beyond their abilty can you imagine them installing the stage 1 kit?!

I know some are better than others but just from reading on here it seems like there are a lot that are pretty bad.
