What Downpipe to order?

So I've got an 08 Auto that's currently in the shop awaiting parts for the ingnition. A few days prior to taking it in I noticed what sounded like some sort of air leak coming from the exhaust manifold. Had them take a look at it and was told its the cat that's leaking. So my thoughts are to just order a DP and do away with the cat. Took a look at ZZP online, just not sure what the available options are at checkout when ordering the part. Anyone have any insight or recommendations? Thanks.

you might try contacting Rock Auto, that's where I got mine. It wasn't the cat leaking, it was the down pipe. got a replacement and took it to a muffler shop and they welded it on. no leak and very good job.

If you are not tuned, be prepared for a P0420. I know for sure you can by-pass the code with a Trifecta tune. Not sure of the others.
Personally, I would remove it, get that one repaired. Then core the 2nd cat. I have a catless DP on my toolbox, wasn't a good way to go for me. Even turning off the light through the tune.
Good luck

I have a ZZP high flow auto catted down pipe still in the box. I decided to keep the stock one since we have emission testing, PM me if you would like to give it a try.

There was no power gain, and a flat spot in the mid range. Coring the 2nd cat seem the best way to go. (It did sound kind a cool though) PM me in your interested in a catless DP

If you want to avoid CEL, the ZZP 400cell catted DP would be the way to go, or sourcing a stock DP and core the 2nd cat yourself.
If you want the most hp and are willing to tune around a possible CEL then go with the 200cell catted or catless with angled bung.

I run a 300 cell cat in my CIA DP and never got a CEL even before i was tuned. I also chose a catted DP because I didn't want the exhaust to be much louder.

Any pipe you get is going to tweak your power-band. There's a few things that you can do to get rid of a CEL/MIL. First is to add resistance to the O2 sensor. There's a formula to compute what you need, but I don't have it off-hand. The next is the no-fouler solution. Not pretty, but it works more than it doesn't.

Will the ZZP catted 400 cause CEL on my bone stock 08? I was looking for better sound and a few HPs but the info on DPs has been mixed to say the least.
