2.2 crankshaft interchange

any one know what year models that a crank from a 2.2 eco tec are interchangeable ... i did find out that the rods and mains of the 2.4 and 2.2 in some years are the same but im more concerned with the stroke ...i found a 2005 2.2 ecotec with a cracked block but runs with no noise ..(water instead of antifreeze ) go figure... mine is a 2007 2.2 ive been researching and cant seem to find any thing as of yet ... thanks in advance

Mitchell Estimator says the same part number 2005 Cobalt LS 2.2L and 2007 HHR LT 2.2L.

You will need to relearn the crankshaft sensor.

Check your local junkyards, tested and warranted used engines go for $500-$800.

That plug you mention was for the coolant recovery pressure tank on the Cobalt
Glad it is running great!
