Air Intake Hose/GMPP Intake

I have a GMPP Air Intake on the way, and recently noticed the intake hose is ripped. I did search the forms and took the advice of duct taping it shut, but would rather replace it. Instead of spending $60+ for OEM, I found this on eBay. Looks like it would be more durable than the OEM, but it never hurts to get a second opinion.

Worth it, or junk? - http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-RED-FLEXIBLE-COLD-AIR-INTAKE-DUCT-PIPE-ENGINE-RAM-AIR-HOSE-TUBE-KIT-/191304455527?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AHHR&hash=item2c8aa25567&vxp=mtr

where did you get the gmpp intake from?

i remember my original hose used be be plasticy/vinyl type hose, but when the dealer ripped it by taking off the air filter to do work they replaced it and im guessing the newer style is more insulated and has a fuzzy liner on the outside which to me feels thicker and better built and shouldnt rip so easily

I googled searched and found one on eBay for $370 with free shipping. Says brand new. There's one left on the listing - http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/380501445634?lpid=82
Thanks for the advice - guess I'll look for an OEM or an alternative that's more durable. Thanks Skyline26!

Finally got around to installing the GMPP intake. Also got a spectre intake hose for around $24 since my wooly worm was ripped. Not hard and super straight forward. Now to get in touch with CJ to get this thing tuned!

When I had my engine replaced the mechanic tore the wooly worm on my car. When he found out the OEM replacements were around $70.00 he simply tossed the damaged one in the back seat and left it to me to replace it.

I went and got some vinyl dryer hose at first but after looking at the original for a while I just used Elmer glue to fix it.

Should it fail again I still have the dryer duct.
