Aluminum Coolant Tube

New to posting in the forums but ive been taking everyone's advice for years now. My question is can the coolant tube on the back of the engine be rotated? I bought the zzp equal length header and installed it. But one of the runners is literally so close to that coolant tube that i dont think i could put a piece of construction paper between it. Thank you!

Apparently yes. ZZP mentions it in the description for their shorty headers. Also check post #22 here. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/2-4l...manifold-6506/

My old LNF 2.0 is on an engine stand, so I got some pics for you.

Is it just these 4 or does the stud have to be loosened too?

I see 5, plus the stud. The ones you circled are 10mm, the other is 1/2"(snug fit, 13mm would work).

The guy in the linked thread said bolts on both ends. It looks like loosening the bolts on the other end(driver side) won't help. Never tried myself.

Wait, there's a tab on the driver side that prevents rotation.

Okay Ill do this tomorrow and let you know how it works out. Just to be clear i only loosen those 5 and the stud right? If i back it out too much there'd be a bigger issue right?

I don't know if the LNF is different here. Even without the tab, it would only move, maybe, 1/4".

Oh damn.. Ill still try to give it a twist. I only need just a tiny bit. It doesn't touch the tube, its just like maybe 2mm away from a runner on that header. I could get away with wrapping the runner with heat wrap maybe?
