If you remove the part that the heater hoses connect to, you could enlarge the slot that the tab engages. Or with the header removed, you may be able to enlarge the slot without removing the other part.

There's no coolant in this engine here. Loosening the bolts and twisting, you will probably lose some coolant. Make sure you burp the system well.

Apparently you only rotate the pipe abit, from post 22 in the link RJ posted.

Anyways.. the large coolant pipe/line that runs on the back of the engine, needs to be adjusted for your header doesn't press on it when you bolt it to the engine..
So the 3-4 bolts on each side/end of the large coolant pipe need to be loosen.. once loosen, slighty put the header back into position, and feel along where it it touching the coolant pipe.. rotate the coolant pipe so the header clears the coolant line..
Once that is done.. retighten the coolant line bolts you loosen, and finish the install of the header..

Those bolts on the passenger side are the water pump mounting bolts. The driver side goes into the t-stat housing, it is removable. Both ends are held in by friction with O-rings.

I don;t know what 4 bolts he was talking about

Where are the 3 or 4 on each side? I only see what's circled in red. Passenger side has about 5 and I don't see any on driver side that would do anything to help with rotation.

There are 3 bolts on the driver side, pic #1. All 10mm. 1 is hiding behind the sensor, might need a wrench.

The slot/tab is on my new LDK/LHU engine also. It may be a turbo only thing, to protect the oil line that goes to the turbo, running between the block and the coolant tube.

You'll just have to see for yourself. Keep us updated.
