Codes C0292 P0013 P0014 HELPPPPP

My car is really slow to start so I brought a new battery and had the alternator checked and was told it was fine. Check engine light came on so I got it checked and those codes came up. Can some body tell what's the problem. The guy at the part store didn't know what they meant.🤔 someone please point me in the right direction.

Update: so I got my camshaft replaced and the CEL went off but the car was still cranking really slow 🤔. Went ahead and had the starter replaced and everything seems back to normal. No more flashing lights and cracking up instantly. Thanks everybody

Welcome to the forums!! Try this thread here https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...13-14-a-28779/

The C0292 might be a loss of communication the the ECM.

x2. I'd tackle the codes one at a time, starting with replacing the exhaust solenoid as per the link above which will address the p0013/14 issues. That is a quick and easy job to do, so do that first, then see if that pesky c0292 pops up again.

Thank you. I'm trying to find some one to address the codes first

??? I thought that's what the members did above. The P0013/14 is a common code that pops up and as whopper said, it almost always points to the camshaft solenoid.
Read the link that RJ_RS_SS_350 posted for you. Very common HHR problem with an easy fix.

Fwiw. If you're looking for help, you need to post the year, model and engine size of your car. There were 3 different engine sizes in the HHR, depending on model. There were also different versions of those engines depending on year.
Post up that info and we'll be able to give you more accurate advice.

It's hard to tell, but my guess was that they were going to hand it off to a mechanic and pass on the info here to point the mechanic in the right direction.

But like I said, it's hard to tell. LOL

Sorry you guys I really just figured out how to reply back to this forum. I'm new to this. But my car is a 2009 Hhr LT w/1LT 4 cylinder.

But which engine? 2.2 or 2.4?
It really shouldn't matter the 09's both had VVT , so the exhaust solenoid needs replaced.
Very easy job, I'd suggest replacing both while you have the air cleaner box off.

This is for the 2.2 engine in an HHR but the same procedure as the 2.4

So you get an idea of what your mechanic is charging you for!

Oh yeah, welcome to the site!!

So the mechanic I found is saying to replace the starter and the codes should go away. 🤔 does this sounds right to anyone?
