CJ,

did he mention anything to you about numbers and whether it was 2.2 or 2.4 or both...

It's kind of a big commitment when they don't have any numbers to back their product up. The same reason I am holding off of purchasing the Gibson exhaust from SoCal. I need to see a dyno chart and confirmed gains before I can even think of purchasing something.

understandable...I would definately give him a call and voice that concern...see if we can get the ball rolling here...this is a company that has a line of stuff for the Ecotec already so they are familiar with the engine...

They are familiar with the 2.2 Ecotec. The 2.4 Ecotec is an entirely new engine for GM, it's not the old 2.4. Granted it's based off of the other Ecotecs but they have new things like VVT to deal with.

i told him i had the 2.2 and that i was looking for 295 to 300 hp at the wheels and he said that was in the realm of what could be gotten out of it. he said the current kits were running around $4k.
that is better than what i have read so far for the expected HP at the wheels and not the flywheel.
so i am interested,,, i want 295 to 300 true hp at the wheels

will see

I've already become an STS dealer.
Just waiting for them to finish their kit.

You want just a turbo produce to over double your HP? Maybe if you entirely rebuilt your engine with new cams and everything it's posible but you aint going to get 300 HP at the wheels on just the turbo alone.

he said it would probably add another 100 hp to the wheels w their turbo. the rest of the hp would come from some more engine mods and air intake and exhaust. i total effort to get the final total hp up another 150 to 160.

Running 6psi of boost on a 2.2L (143hp), will net you 200hp. (about +57hp)
Running a whopping 9psi (that's a LOT of boost for a stock mill), will net 230hp. (about + 87hp)

*Note: these are all crankshaft figures based against the stock output number.
