Does any one see a problem. I only ask cause i have the 2.4 intake on the way, i might as well get the 2.4 header if this is true. Have them put on at the same time. ??

Back me up
The 2.2 and the 2.4 header is the same thing

Curly1, Thanks for the info. It seems that all I need is 2.4 intake & header, maybe under drive pully. I have airaid cold air,& hooker areochamber muffler (525 cfm flow rate) See intofocuszx3 reply on pg.2 of header very nice header on colbalt addiction site. Did you check aquatune.com just for kicks? One other question if you could make fuel injector almost vaporize fuel would this change air/fuel cal.? Also I will get Trifecta tune. Thanks agin. First... I never will claim to be an expert on the 2.2s, but I know for a fact that, at least the earlier ones, have both smaller ports and the outlet is both small and "D" shaped. I think I saw where the later ones are indeed different and have the primary O2 sensor in the downpipe rather than the manifold. Not really sure, other than the earlier differences.

The GM P/N for both the 2.4 LE5 and Cobalt SS/SC manifold is 12581284. Not sure if there are any later changes.

Guys, to be sure, why don't you either check with your GM parts dept. or PM ChevyMgr (Brad) and ask him to clarify any differences?

Here`s a great photo shoot showing you what you get from GMPP for $300.00 part # 19131972.Guess what it`s the same manifold you already have with slight honing. And giving you a final increase of only 7% more flow. I was able to increase my stock one out to give 27% more flow.

I would like to know more.

I would like to know more about the differences between the 2.2, 2.4 and the 2.0 SS /TC manifolds. I would like to take the best one and port it out some.
It would never be as good as an aftermarket tube header but it would not have the problems of leaks and it would be quieter. Decent comprimise in my opinion if the 2.0 SS /TC is much better than the stock 2.2.

JoeR, Do you think the 2. SS / TC is the same as the 2.4?

GTOMIKE, did you start with the smaller 2.2 manifold or the 2.4?

Thanks to all, Curly
