Welcome aboard gmoney!

Well I'm not too sure about a SAAB turbo being a bolt up job, but you can Turbocharge a 2.2L Ecotec engine if your patience and pockets run deep.

Give these threads a read....

check with cjkrause, I believe he's done it with a 2.2L and a 2.4L. Or was that supercharging not turbocharging?

Probably would fit on the motor. After all the bolt holes seem to all be the same. But..... what about the ECM, BCM and the hood?

Might wanna take a read over at the cobalt forums. There are some turbo builds for the 2.2's that I've read.

nrvous1 beat me to it, check out the Cobalt/G-5 forums.

You may find out that the economics/PITA factor make the case for selling off your current HHR and searching out a nice SS.

ZZP also has a 2.2/2.4 Turbo and Supercharger kit. Comes with everything you need. Install, get it tuned, and you should be good to go!
