i got the chip

well i bought the chip and installed it. took about 20 mins with some help. i have noticed instantly the response. i have an automatic and through the power band i can feel the car pull to the right as i accel off the line. im loving it

what chip do you have? and let us know if the power stays. i read some where that it gains power with chips and then slowly the comp adjusts back to factory levels. not sure how true it is but something to be on the look out for.

Did you buy one of those $7.95 chips off of ebay that gives you 30 hp?

My Chip

I bought a Stage 2 Jet Performance Chip for 314$. The power levels are still there and now the throttle is a little touchy when i hammer it. I love it

keep me posted in a couple weeks time. any chance of you doing dyno run?
also what are the estimated increases? and any affects as far as gas mileage gain or losses(thats if you can keep your foot outta the throttle long enough:lol: )

wish i had that luck ,my jet did not work with my 2.2 same 0-60,same 0-100, even used premium fuel did complain to co, however, yes it shocked me,? pulstar plugs did work, didnt index them either 0-60 .03 seconds faster .0-100 2.5 seconds faster

When a plug is presented to the combustion chamber at a perpendicular angle straight down as in the Ecotec, there's no need to index them. Unless you meant gap them. Indexing was an old hot rodder trick when the plug presented to the chamber at an angle and the ground strap electrode on the plug could shroud the spark kernel from the mixture at certain angles.

You're a gear head from days gone by, anyone under 40 would have no idea what you were talking about...
