Cold Air Intakes

I'm wondering if there is a quiet cold air intake out there? I'm somewhat disappointed in the noise level of the AirAid CAI and am wondering if there are quieter types of CAI's out there without having to buy one of each type etc... as that could become costly.

Yes! The one that came on the car.

Contrary to popular myth, lore and lies here, it is NOT restrictive and very effective.

Looks, however is subjective.

Sorry jay, noise and air volume have absolutely nothing to do with each other.

Haha, here we go! -My CGS gave NO performance benefit, in fact when it was really hot outside and Id be driving the car hard, it bogged it down. All the units that suck in hot engine compartment air are doing no good. Now for looks and if you like that sound they make - that's up to the owner. I bought the CGS for the cool factor only, now it's in the parts bin in the garage. Got tired of the "bwaaaaaahhhhhhh" sound. Our stock box modded seems to work well.

Ny CGS was getting cold air as I had cut a section of the plastic next to the radiator so was getting fresh air, I did notice a performance increase.

Okay, i/m came with the ultimate cold air intake. I'm just going to re-route my air conditioner vent tubes to blow right into te air-box. The plus to this very direct cold air and i can control the amount of cold air by the dash control for the air conditioner. There problem solved once and for all
