More power from your 2.2 (with a tune)
(While technically Trifecta isn't a sponsor here, one of our dealers, Chevy HHR World (http://www.chevyhhrworld.com) is, so hopefully the powers that be will consider this posting not to be in violation of the forum rules.)
Since around March of this year, we've been offering custom ECM/TCM tuning for the 2005+ 2.2L ECOTEC vehicles. Our first offering was for the 2005-2006 Chevrolet Cobalt with the 2.2, then we added support for 2007+ 2.2. Since then, we've added support for the 2005-2007 Saturn Ion with the 2.2L and Pontiac G5/Pursuit with the 2.2. A few months ago we also added support for the HHR with the 2.2.
The bulk of our sales have been in the Cobalt space, but we're starting to see interest from the other vehicle markets as well.
In the months past we've had opportunities to tune just about everything imaginable, from mild to wild. Here's a few highlights:
2005 Chevrolet Cobalt 2.2 w/ STS rear mount universal turbo kit (10 psi, makes 260WHP)
2007 Chevrolet Cobalt 2.2 w/ Garrett Alpha Turbo kit
2008 Chevrolet Cobalt 2.2 w/ 8psi Turbo kit
2005 Chevrolet Cobalt 2.2 w/ Comp Cams Stage 1/2 cams
2006 Chevrolet Cobalt 2.2 w/ 2.4 intake and throttle body
2006 Chevrolet Cobalt 2.2 w/ supercharger from Cobalt SS/SC
2005 Saturn Ion 2.2 w/ Nitrous Injection
All of these vehicles, except for the original test vehicle (2006 Cobalt LS) have been tuned via mail-order. Attached below is the dyno sheet from that original car:
By optimizing the timing map, ditching the PE delay and adjusting the fuel mixture, we were able to build an additional 10HP peak, and saw broad gains across the board. (NOTE the baseline cut off earlier because we hit the speed limiter - our tune addresses that, too). ;-)
I'm happy to answer any technical questions. Feel free to stop by our web site to see more about what we do. Chevy HHR World is one of our dealers and is set up to sell our tunes via mail order.

Thanks Vince for posting up the Report.
A Tune for your HHR runs $250 when shipped via our GT tuner and only takes 15 minutes to load. Tunes are available for the Std and Auto Transmission.
And no I will not make a "So easy a Caveman can do it comment."
