Have you been clearing the codes? Every time you do that the OBD testing starts over, the EVAP and cat can take 10 days.
Or, the cat is clogged and causing the problem.
Until the O2sensor tests run the computer is in open loop.

I disconnected the battery before changing the maf and cannon plug. So, yes I guess when the capacitors discharged codes were cleared.

Your temps are in Centigrade. I don’t do conversions well. I’m a Fahrenheit guy. 🤔
Is this one of those Canuck Metric HHR’s ?

Nothing to do with capacitors. Disconnecting the battery reboots the computers, does the same as clearing codes with the reader. Note: don't do it within 10 days getting a smog test.

Code also was u0100 not p0100. I found the paperwork. This code was produced Sunday after changing throttle body, evap solenoid, and maf sensor and reinstalling old parts after no change in engine. Then it produced codes. After taking battery cable off for 30 minutes all codes cleared but still runs badly. No light or codes now.

Most of our gas in the USA is e10, so that seems right.

U0100 lost communication with ECM. You might disconnect the negative battery terminal, then take off the connectors for the ECM, inspect and clean up the connections.
