I put another new battery that I had from my motorhome. It made no difference.

If it is misfiring there is a code.

You stated in your 1st post that your code reader showed no codes. Then you said you went to AutoZone and they found codes.
So. Have you gone back to AutoZone to recheck for codes ?

Then stop saying misfire, rough idle is not the same thing.

Before it starts running smoothly, the engine will stumble like one cylinder is not firing. I call that a misfire and have for over 60 years! It is a “rough” idle when you first start the engine but seems to smooth out progressively as the engine warms.

The computer would sense a misfirer. That is when a full ignition does not take place in a cylinder and raw gasoline is exhausted.

I didn’t know the computer would pick that up.

How old is the new battery that you had from the motor home? Any chance it spent time in a cold place in a discarged state?

You need to scan for codes again. Be sure to write down all the codes.

Pending codes can cause problems.
