No tach

Okay I haven’t done any checking yet but I finally finished the engine swap in the HHR I do have a check engine light I will research after the scanner charges but I don’t have a tach reading it’s on zero and it’s shifting into reverse and drive kinda hard. Any ideas?

update p0036 powertrain h02s heater control circuit bank 1 sensor 2
and p0335 crank position sensor

please advise?

Pretty sure you will have to do a crankshaft position sensor relearn procedure...

P0036 , check the forward O2 sensor, loose connection and relearn the crankshaft position sensor

I did a search and couldn’t find a relearn on the site is there a topic on this?

I will I’ll have to inspect the o2 sensor after work tomorrow it was fine 7 months ago before this ordeal but who knows I may have knicked a wire or something. Or went bad from having the engine out for a month as it poured rain and what not. I did the motor on the street due to no garage so it sat a while

Might be prudent to replace it , if it’s rusty.

the relearn is done with a Scan II tool

Yes, first from the engine, and for instance double check the second one also.

"tach" - is it a tachometer?
If you need a tachometer, maybe OBD2 scanner will help you?
I bought on Aliexpress one of those that can be connected to a smartphone via bluetooth (price $ 5). It has the function of a tachometer, and this is a fairly accurate tachometer at first glance.
