Quick Custom Intake
[IMG][/IMG]
I built this to replace the homemade intake. I made this with parts I had in the garage. This only took about 30mins to build. I looked at few CGS intakes on the net and figure I could come close, we will see. My plans are to actually buy a CGS intake but with x-mas a few days away, it has to wait.

I modified my CGS intake cut and welded bought a 10 inch Edelbrok filter from Summit raceing now I get torque steer much more performance than the stock hhr filter with a K&N filter or the CGS much more performance photos in the Toms Farm Cruise on page 31 as I cannot download photos a person from socalHHRs downloaded for me, good luck I dont get any codes and love the increased performance. my engine is the 2.4

Nice job on the intake . I did not have anything around my hove to fab up an intake. I simply bought the items I needed from AirAid and used part of an old plastic license plate holder as a support bracket.

Looks great and it will be something that I will do in the future, there was a post here talking about making a custom one where it put the intake duct on the radiator support and then piped it from the grill, looked killer and IMO would probably provide the coldest air in the safest spot.
