Supercharged Cobalt engine in HHR?

Does anyone know if a supercharged cobalt engine will fit in an HHR? if not, how about the supercharger? Anybody with any information will definitely help, because I am being offered the engine with supercharger.

Thanx!

By any chance would you know where I could find them on the site? Bc if the supercharger will be the only thing that I'll be able to work with, then I'll sell the rest of the engine. Is there any other parts on that engine that I could upgrade to on the HHR?

Thanks for that. But yeah, I have the 2.2 and the person who is offering me the engine told me it wouldn't be too hard to just swap mine for the supercharged cobalt one. I'm really not too convinced but I may still get the setup off of his hands and sell everything all together. I dunno, any opinions?

The only thing that would be feasible would be to take the supercharger, but that would still take a lot of customization and tuning skill.

As previously posted JoeR is about the only person with usable knowledge about this though.

this is again the 2.4 but it goes pretty in depth. i plan to do the same at some point. Trifecta says they can tune for it. i would just say stay around stock boost. supercharged

Supercharger in HHR

Yes it fits. We completed an HHR for the 2007 Detroit Autorama with a supercharged engine in it. Everything fits with no modifications necessary. We even installed the Cobalt intercooler radiator. I am looking for pictures but have not found them yet. I will post them when I find them.

I recall seeing some factory done show HHRs at the Woodward Cruise a few years ago.It looked very doable with the only noticeable change coming at the front of the engine with,I believe, the coolant hoses-which probably means that there's a LOT more to it than first meets the eye.

Here's my photobucket album of two GM concept HHRs with superchargers. There are a bunch of pics of the engines of each.

Here's a sample pic of each. I tried to take shots which showed the layout as best as I could. Obviously the Nomad concept was much more of a custom job.

Ok, so once I install the supercharger, what would b the steps after that? Is the tune a necessary step? I am not too familiar with superchargers or anything to do with them, so any input will be useful. Thanks everyone for the input.
