Trifecta vs HPT

not sure if this is in the correct section..
but ive been wandering the posts here about Trifecta and HPTuners..and just wondering if someone can clear it up for me what exactly they are..as in is it just a universal tune that you originally get then you have the option to send it back and get it fine tuned to your specs with some extra $$ ??

and ive read some pros and cons for each..so for those who have tried both, which seems to be better?

id be wanting to tune my 2.2 after im done my mods

Thanks

would the canned tune be sufficient? or should it be custom (by sending results back and fine tuning) is it really needed?

you also have to look at the logistic

how easy is it to get a hold of the trifecta logger/ hpt tuner and logger if he is not local?

what can you afford? how competent is the hpt to your car?

what do you expect out of your car when it is said and done?

just food for thought

HPTuners provides the ability to tweak many of the HHR's tables/parameters; this is not a canned tune like Trifecta. I've used HPTuners extensively and I've seen very good results in power and fuel economy.

are you a dealer?

I'm not an HPTuners dealer, and I typically don't offer a tuning service. I will give you some tuning recommendations if you get HPTuners. EFI Live (another HPTuners type of programing package) may also support tuning the HHR. Here is an article that talks about tuning to give you a flavor of what is involved.
