Turbocharging Hhr 2.2L

Could I pull the turbo setup out of a hhr ss and install it on my 2.2L?

Welcome to the site, no, the SS has an in tank electric and mechanical high pressure fuel pump, the LS , just the in tank fuel pump
the SS internally has beefed up connecting rods and pistons and more aggressive cam shaft lobes. Not to mention the ECM is tuned much differently
That being said , ZZP offers a turbo kit and a supercharger kit.
It’s much less expensive to sell your 2.2 and buy an SS

read the fine print carefully, the super charger is not included in the kit.

So would I be better off just pulling the engine out of the ss and dropping it into my ls?

It would be cheaper and easier to just buy an SS

Swapping engines include A LOT of changes to the current vehicle ie. wiring harness, ecm, sensors, etc.
Cheaper and quicker to just find and buy an SS

All the hhr ss’s in my area are just too damn expensive if I can even find one it’s like finding a needle in a haystack. But I could just strip an ss of all those parts and transfer them to my car could I not?

Many moons ago a former member named CJ (RIP), put a S/C on his (2006) 2.2 & he blew 1 engine, but did it again.. And it was said to be pretty quick.

Later on he got an SS & did the tune on it.
