Vids of When Shagy 06 had a S/C- So much FUN

i took off the s/c after i blew a piston ring. the gen 1 engines on the 06's just couldnt handle the extra power. just a semi stock 2.2 to give to my grandson. i just took off all the s/c stuff

took off so hard it shut me down. we found out GM had a self abuse mode. you can hear it shut me down then take off
had the 2.9 pulley, full catless 2.5 exhaust from a HHR SS T/C it, 05 balt s/c headers, custom CAI that went behind headlight using a cobra head 3 inch 90 degree , mustang 59 lb injectors, cx racing heat exchanger. it was a great setup

Didn't look much faster than my stock 2.4 although I'm sure it was. Got any speedo vids showing the increase in mph? It's really hard to tell from the shakey videos exactly what you were putting down.

i dynoed at 256 whp/313 wtq at 3600 rpms
i could release brake and step on the gas, w the B&M Shift kit in aggressive mode and leave a 80 ft 2 wheel burnout
it ran great at 18 lbs boost

those were vids to get the sound more than speed
the first one was to show the shutting me down Vince had to fix in the tune. got it taken out in Low gear take offs

Wow over 100 hp increase...that's pretty insane. That's about a 75% increase in power...that's crazy!
