Wrong cams , I believe are the problem, that’s why I asked for a picture of the invoice.
hoping the part number would give a clue as to the head being a 2.4 , with 2.4 camshafts.
which would be in incorrect time with Charlie’s 2.2 sprockets.
CatMan , I saw the picture of the sprockets , but you can’t see the whole face of the sprockets,

it’s out of time glad the valves didn’t touch.
to bad the 2.2 cams where sent back with the core.

Charlie, ask them to supply new camshaft sprocket bolts as they are TTY, and a tube of assembly lube.
it is not your fault. It’s theirs.

I wonder if you could just put a 515 actuator(phaser, sprocket) on it. Or you'd probably need a 2.4 ecm also, and who knows what else?

The cam lobes are in different places , which could cause valve contact with the pistons.

I'm just wondering if the 2.4 cam, with the 2.4 actuator, would be in proper time. But it's unknown.

You should still do the leak down test, Charlie. Just to be sure...

Did they send new cam bolts and assembly lube?
