Wow, I'd a figured mid 8's to 60.

Wonder what the 2.2L's numbers are.

I used my Escort G-Timer2 to check the time. It was set at 3500 pounds (about right including myself, gas, and my wife and kids). It came up with 169 for horsepower, so it sounds pretty accurate. The times were:
0-60 in 8.4 seconds, and a 1/8 mile time of 10.77 at 58.5 mph. I could not do the full 1/4 mile run (remember wife and kids in car) but I checked on the internet, and found a conversion that would estimate a time of 16.51 seconds at 73 mph. By the way, mine is a 2LT with auto.

The G-tech is accurate on most cars but larger SUV type vehicles it starts losing accuracy. It does take into effect things like aerodynamics and such. I'd suspect those times are off a bit. I'll just take mine to the track in the next couple of weeks and get some real world times.

I plan on taking my car to the track also when the weather gets warm. I want to also take the actual weight of the car. Plus, I will leave my G-Tech hooked up to really check the accuracy.

By the way, if you check the Car and Driver website they have a place that you can give feed back on the car. It's funny because all the reviews are great, except for 2. They were both placed by the same person, and his main fault with the car is it's acceleration. I have raced cars for many years, and am pretty impressed with the power of the car. Plus, a chief reason I bought the car is for it's potential. Chevy sells a book on the Ecotech engine, and with factory parts it can reach over 1000 hp.

1000hp. I honestly don't think I could handle that. Someone figure out how to get it up to 400hp with a budget of 300 bucks.
