Car is Sputtering
I have a 2006 Chevy HHR LT. I've been having some issues the last few weeks with the engine sputtering and dying while driving. I had the codes cleared. It drove just fine for about 50 miles and then started Sputtering again. No check engine light ever comes on. I made it to my Auto shop while pushing the accelerator hard while it wanted to die. They are gonna check the computer again on Monday. Wanting to maybe get some insite on here. What other people think it might be.

to the forums!!
Without the codes, we'd just be taking wild guesses. In the future, don't clear codes until you've at least tried to fix the issue. It could be misfiring, several possible causes. It could have been in 'limp home mode', again numerous possible causes. There are many other possible reasons why it was performing like that, some that could cause catastrophic damage if you just clear the code and keep driving.
Wait for your shop to diagnose and recommend. Get the code numbers(not descriptions, which can sometimes be misleading) from them and post them up here, we'll do our best to point you in the right direction, or if it sounds like the shop doesn't seem to know how to deal with these ecotec buggies.

Welcome to the site, get the full codes and post, we'll help from there.
I'm tempted to guess, but would not like to cost you money.
While they have the car check the battery and charging system

As they say, without the codes anything would be a wild guess. My guess would be a marmot has crawled up the tailpipe and made a nest in the muffler. But that would be a rather unlikely cause, but tis a possibility. :)
Get those codes (not a verbal description of them), the actual code and post them here and we'll see what we can come up with.
