She'll either make power like mad, or you'll have a grenade with the pin pulled out on your hands, keep us posted on the buildup. We await the dyno printouts with baited breath.

hhrfreek- Cool man..
So you lowered the C/R for the blower... I'm following along.. I use JE pistons in my flathead stroker .. Good stuff. |
very interesting experiment.
You may need to upgrade transmission and cooling system, as well as brakes. |

sounds interesting I have been running the roots style blowers for a while on my drag street car
With the whp you posted I think you would be around a 13.60 with the old build and low 12's with the new build on e85 Of course that's with good traction etc Have you ever considered seeing what it runs either 1/8 the mile or 1/4 mile Also how much did you have invested in putting the blower on originally . Sounds like a great sleeper |
I did go to the track with it a while back probably~230ish whp and did 15.1 @ 95. I hope to be around 13 flat as that is what many of the quicker SS models are running. I originally spent around $2300 for the kit.

Updated the original post with more pictures.
Progress update: I am hoping to have the exhaust side of the head port finished tomorrow as well as the cylinder honed/deglazed and the new rods and pistons installed. Picking up new rod bearings tomorrow and also ordering a set of valve seals. Check out the difference in a forged 900whp tested rod(ZZP) vs the stock rods which gm suggests replacing at 250whp. The JE pistons are supposed to be good to 1000whp...so I am good there too lol. The beefy parts are also a 100g lighter per cylinder than the stockers and good for a lot more. The JE ringlands are 1.7 mm thicker than the stock pistons as well. |
Some stout goodies, for sure..
Using the stock crank ? |
