When I was 15 or 16, I wanted to be HIM when I grew up! That was the best part of that magazine! I had a subscription as a teenager, and never skipped a column. THANK YOU for prodding a good old memory!

(We are speaking of things 40 years ago. If you are confused, you were probably born too late. Not being mean. Magazines were killed by the web.)

It’s not that I’m reinventing the wheel I’m slowly putting things together to my liking e.g. (I have a Gibson Cat back in my hallway *credit to the person who recommended it on here* at this moment waiting for the right opportunity to install, purchased and installed a K&N CAI+ got rid of some of the rasp+) planning on ordering a ZZP catted down pipe this week.
How ever my MPG has went up from 15mpg to 28mpg and climbing with the catless down pipe and CAI.
If I am correct wouldn’t a cat failure result in slow acceleration as well as terrible MPG??
Correct me if I am wrong. (15mpg at 75mph on cruise control doesn’t sound that efficient in my opinion)
I didn’t expect this much feedback on this post and didn’t get a notification for it in my email so sorry for the late response!!

You are correct. Likely not cat failure. Check for vacuum leaks or intake leaks. If you have no codes, I can't see anything large...

it seems like I am saying this in every thread, but have you done a "lobotomy"? Disconnect the ground cable at the battery for at least 10 seconds.. Reset all the computers, and make them re-learn what's going on.

I was responding to Z32RB who said "didn’t get a notification for it in my email ". The site does not default to cluttering email boxes.
