Axle back is just a muffler.

You could save yourself a bunch of money and have a better muffler by using the Cherry Bomb Vortex muffler. The Cherry Bomb has a nice low sound to it and almost no restriction or backpressure.
When you look in the inlet you can see a plenum in the middle that it diverts the air and sound around and you can see the outlet. So the air comes into a larger open area and then moves around the plenum and out with little restriction and no direction change or being forced through small holes.

The Turbo stlye mufflers have a tube blocked off on the inlet with a bunch of holes and then a similar tube on the outlet and the air has to go through all of those holes to get out.
The Flowmasters go into an open area and then have to go through a maze of baffles to get out. There are much more effecient designs now like the Cherry Bomb.

I couldnt find it in search function.

Will the LSJ 2.0T exhaust mani, DP,RES and exhaust all the way back fit on the 2.2 or 2.4 (o2 sensor placement aside)? It does on the cobalt...that why i ask.

one the LSJ is not a turbo its a SC and the exhaust may fit under there but the hangers will have to be modified. you may be able to use the exhaust off the hhr ss minus the dp

Correct, the Cherry Bomb Vortex Muffler is less cost.

Better? Well, I happen to like the construction materials of the CGS vs. the Cherry Bomb and that was the main reason I went with CGS. (You get what you pay for.)

But if you want that nice, low, throaty sound and pay HALF the price of the CGS, then YES, go for the Cherry Bomb Vortex muffler; Curly is absolutely correct.

By the way, this is what the CGS Axle-Back Muffler looks like on Car 11. It's not a picture of Car 11, but this is what it looks like. And it does sound great.

Well, yes. You can hear the low throaty tone especially when you floor it.

But I like it. If you don't like hearing the sound while you are driving then DON'T get one of these mufflers! You definitely hear while you are driving.

I just installed a CGS cat back exhaust today also. MWG2 was sure correct about the improved low end pick up and super sweeeeeeet "Low Sound" guns:

It started out pretty loud, but after I drove it about 2 miles it abruptly quieted down a lot. I'm sure with a couple of hundred miles the sound will quiet even more.
