We've changed spark plugs,Maf ourselves we then sent her off to a mechanic who also changed spark plugs as ours were apparently sold to us bad,he changed fuel pump and removed some rusty parts from fuel line got it running after 4 months sitting there was a lot of smoke he said but told us it got less and less each time they drove her well the very day I went to pick her up (they had it for a week) she did the same crap shed been doing before they "fixed it" stopped running that very night and is sitting again 2 months later.She very much acts like she wants to keep going but just something is missing I've been without transportation since last October idk what to do and I lost 1,300$ to the mechanic plus all the money we spent on repairs here at home any suggestions at this point would really help

 

Find another shop/mechanic.

Welcome to the site, this could be incorrect spark plugs installed. Clogged fuel injectors , bad gas, fuel lines should be replaced, not cut out the rusty parts!
so, let’s start with , is the check engine light on ?

 

Check engine is on and was before it stopped running but all the codes were EVAP

Like for the EVAP purge valve up under the hood? Test it , it should be closed, you shouldn’t be able to blow air through it.

 

Which of the 10 EVAP codes?

 

That’s it , one bolt, two hoses and 1 electrical plug. Try and blow air through it.

 

We tried the EVAP purge valve it was fine the codes we got were P0446,P0113,P0496 and P0442
