Sluggish at take off

When I start the car up and take off it goes slow. I live in Louisiana where somedays chilly but most hot for this time of the year. It is really bad when Im at a red traffic light and it turns green for me to go. I tap the gas and it struggles to go so I floor it because people in baton rouge drive crazy and scared will get hit. Got spark plugs changed, and sea foam treatment in the gas tank. My HHR also drinks gas and im sure the reason is because I floor it. I do not have a check engine light on a 08 LT model. Thanks for any help.

Dirty throttle body, dirty air filter, leaky injector(s), or a throttle position sensor problem.. I'd check the air filter as an easy place to start. If it was injector(s) I would think it would throw a code. Take it to the parts place and have the codes read and come back and post them here. The guys here have seen it all.
Good luck to you.

Transmission fluid? Was it changed just before this started? Any puddles under the car?

Engine temperature? Coolant level?

Oil level?

Spark plug brand and part number, more important than most think.

Funny exhaust odors/sounds/smoke?

I have done this; parking brake?

Brakes inspected?

This sounds like the same symptoms that we discussed before. You've had the cam position sensor(s), the VVT solenoids, and the flex pipe changed, There was some speculation that the wiring for the VVT solenoids was damaged. The code back then was P0010.

Why don't you bring us up to date, and we can go from there.

All of that was changed, no check engine light so didnt go autozone to get codes ran. Only visible indicator is the tire pressure monitoring system light. My back tire sensor is broken. I havent noticed any smells, but do hear my brakes squeak but its not loud. Also from time to time a traction (service esc off) message displays on the dash notification area. 111202 MI and 42% oil life
