Well congrats, and post some underhood pics if you get a chance...Regards...Mark
You did....but the guy at the shop said not to worry about it so I sold it on ebay!

Haven't changed plugs yet, gonna get right on that! Suggestions?

Too bad about the warmer...I wished I would have known you were selling, I would have tried like hell to talk you out of it..... Like I mentioned before I'm gonna try the NGK's. 95% of the Cobalt guys running max boost or nitrous are very satified with their performance. I don't have the part number off the top of my head, but if you search over there the topic has been widely discussed...G/L.....Mark

HOLY CRAP!!

Put in a set of NGK plugs and went from a 50 shot to a 75, WOW!! Huge difference!

I've got a couple of pulls on a dyno scheduled for Thursday, I'll be sure to post them here.

Really interested in seeing what it does without the nitro, in the above pulls, I still had the CGS intake, I've now got a GMPP.

Not really. These are pretty tough engines and it's not like I'm going to be a lot of street racing. I think it will be okay for an occasional short stomp! And I can't figure out how to get 60hp more out of the 2.4 than this.

Even with a supercharger and all the trouble you'd have to go through to get one installed, you still only talking about another 60-80hp. Ay least that what GM got on the concept HHRs they supercharged.

There are a lot of ways to pull more than 60-80 hp out of the 2.4, just nobody has the time or money to develop them for the mass market. I'm willing to bet that JoeR is pulling at least that much now with his supercharger. I doubt that the GM people did much on the concept HHRs other than get them to start up, run, look pretty, and sound cool.

What we need are vendors that are willing to put money into the Ecotecs, and there just aren't that many right now.

Say he gets 60hp. I already spoke to him about it. After he gets done he will have spent MANY hours making it fit, then he has to tune it, and when it's all said and done the cost will likely be twice what the ZEX kit and install cost me. To me, it just isn't worth it just to be able to say you have a supercharger. If you have the skills, time, and workspace to do the work yourself, great but that doesn't apply to me. I like being able to just fil two switched and have an extra 60+ hp whenever I need it amd then being able to just switch it off again. And my set up doesn't require all kinds of cutting, and relocating of stuff under the hood. Before I went through all that trouble to make a turbo or supercharged 2.4, I'll just wait to buy a totaled 2.0 turbo and install it.

What I'm looking for now is other ways to continue to increase my HP.
