Engine ticking normal???

My engine has always ran great, no oil leaks, nothing, its a great engine. :)

but lately I have noticed a ticking that I wanted to make sure was the normal sound of these engines???

I have always noticed a ticking, and by ticking, I mean being able to hear all the valves functioning.

Not clunking, not grinding, just the pitter patter of the valves.

With the hood closed, basically no noise just normal engine idle, its sounded like this since I bought it, but now that I removed the stock intake that covered most of the engine the K&N lets me hear it more.

Again the car runs beautiful, just want to make sure its not that tensioner thing that was updated after 2009-2010, since mine is a 2007.

here is the link to the video, its all they way at the bottom, and you need flash to view the video, so sorry iphone users.

By the way in the video I had just started the motor, so you can hear it idling high and easing back down to normal, in-case you were wondering about that.

Please let me know, thank you.

Mines an 07 2.2 with the same K&N FIPK, and the valves and injectors make alittle more noise because their not covered like the stock air filter / engine cover

It most likely is the injectors.

It's really a good video that captures the sound. I'm guessing that's normal then?

Check out the video.

Aww man, well open it with Microsoft edge, if you have windows 10, it works that way.

I'll have to look into it, sounds like google is having a problem, I'll have to contact them.

Actually the real problem is the flash player plug in, on the browsers, I will get it fixed as soon as I can figure out whats wrong, but it does work on Microsoft edge.
