when I had to "strip my car" Ie empty it of my personal belonging before the the insurance company took it away. it was amazing how much "junk" had accumulated...

By removing the resonator and adding a different muffler will I have any gains or will it just change the sound? Also will this make a difference on the engines overall performance in terms of fuel economy? I don't want to mess the computers up (I'm new to this kind of mechanics as my lat car was 33 years old)

The ZZPerformance Cams are only for the 2.4.
But theres plenty you can do to a 2.2. Add on a 2.4's intake and throttle body, add a header and downpipe, get a Tune and that should pep it up a bit.
I think you could get custom ground cams for the 2.2 from one of the major cam makers, but you'd have to contact them and find out.
You could Supercharge or Turbo it as well.

Is the header and downpipe from a 2.2 vs 2.4 different? Or do you have to go aftermarket?
