Possible 2.4L Trifecta Tune Substitue ??

Since all the HHR owners of the 2.4l have been deleted from a Trifecta Tune this recent Find I made may be a good reasonably priced substitute.
I did not inquire on the 2.2L but it might be available also.

They offer a Stage 1 and Stage 2 Tune.

The Stage 2 includes New GM improved Fuel Injectors in which they claim makes a difference in the final results.
They actually Dyno Tune your HHR and can send you a Lap Top and cable if you need one.

I spent about 30 minutes with them on the phone the other day and they are very familiar with the Cobalt/HHR power trains.

Sure worth looking into if you still feel you missed the "Trifecta Opportunity".

Maybe someone on the Forum has used this Company and could enlighten us ??

I have no association in any way with this company.

*** Not Sure but I hope it is OK to post this info.

Chevy HHR 2.4L Performance Tunes

The 2.4L Chevy HHR can be a fun little wagon. Even though it lacks the raw power of it's SS brother, the 2.4L is still no slouch on the street. Our Stage 1 performance tune adds a great deal of low end torque to get the HHR moving off the line, and gains across the entire power band to keep you moving. If you own one equipped with the 4-speed automatic transmission you will also benefit from our TCM retune, included standard in all of our HHR Stage 1 Performance Tunes.

Interesting...

As far as I know they actually can't "dyno-tune" unless your car is on their dyno though.

My understanding was that the Dyno tune was only with the Stage 2.

He did not actually explain the details of how that works....

I thought the addition of the improved injectors was interesting.

They are plug and play from what he said.

Improved injectors? Does that mean more fuel flow? The OEM injectors are the same for 2.2 and 2.4 Ecotec’s.
I just replaced Oldblue’s injectors, moderate improvement in performance but much quieter!

Even though I've had a trifecta tune for years I might have to contact these guys after my exhaust is done and might go "stage 2" along with that...

I know trifecta was working off of "data logging" on my car when I had it done... That's not really dyno tuning, per-se, but does give them some real world data to work with. I would imagine these guys do the same.

Sleeper,

Yah ... I was surprised that I could find another legitimate option but I'm a Bull Dog when I get serious about things.

Last time I talked with the owner he explained that they spend at least 2 hours on the Stage 2 application.
Nice guy to talk with if you need to call.
I think they would have a heads up over Trifecta with the injector change and as Greybeard said it's actually a custom tune for your car.
