price of GMPP CAI
 

Holy crap! I've been looking online for different prices. Somewhere in the 380 to 400 range. Can't decide who to order from. Got the bright idea to call my local Chevy dealer. 10 minutes down the road and all, Huntsville Texas. Give the parts guy the part number,,,over $600!!! I started laughing. I even told the guy I can get it online for about $400. He says "well yea, but how much is freight?" I told him it's a freakin air cleaner box, not a short block, the shipping is not going to be $200. He popped off with, "have fun with that" and hung up. So, so much for shopping locally. Are there any online dealers that come recommended for price and service for GMPPs especially the intake?

I got mine at GMpartsdirect for about $270 shipped, but I think that deal is gone and it took about 3 weeks to get it.

Mine was a little over $400 delivered to my door. I love it, and think it is fairly priced. It is a quality piece, breathes cold air, and definitely improves performance. Sounds cool too, and doesn't foul your MAF sensor or throw codes.

These intakes are apparently getting hard to find, and I'd guess they are not being produced anymore considering the time I had finding even one. My local guy never could get me one. Backordered with no delivery date was the message. If you find one, I'd get it if it is what you want. $600? That is just stupid when retail is $450.

Part number 19159206 currently listed at $327.60 not including shipping.

Part number 19159207 is just the air filter (not the entire intake kit). I'm a "just in case" type of person so I've ordered it on its own separate order. Seems there is a national backorder for it with no delivery date estimate. :(

Yeah but its $68.70 in shipping, and then you factor in tax(because every state has a GM dealer and if an internet site has a local presence in your state...they have to collect tax) its $421.79 out the door for North Carolina, from GMpartsdirect.com

I ordered a all weather cargo mat and some other stuff from them. Was very pleased as they are an actual dealership. Auburn Chevy in Auburn Washington...so obviously there are some dealers willing to sell parts at a discount.

I'm looking into getting this, time will tell

my .02 (even tho no-one asked :lol:), I think the GMPP airbox could benefit from lining the inside with Dynamat or Hushmat, or other quality heat-insulator/sound deadener.

Lil pricey, but what isn't anymore.....

It looks like a good quality part, but honestly paying 400$ for an air filter that's gonna give you maybe 3hp, it's expensive :S
