Recomendation for wideband O2 sensor
 

2.4 LE5 swap. Custom built long tube headers - no cat. I assume I will be needing a non-stock wideband upstream O2 sensor in order to tune correctly? Wasn't able to find anything in foreum search.

The 2.4L does not use a wide band sensor.

I would ask whoever is doing the tune.

Engine is naturally aspirated and will be used for long highway trips, so I'm looking for economy and longevity. So do I need to have an extra wideband for this?

No cat?? Illegal in Florida and everywhere else. I don't think the forum can offer much on an illegal modification such as that.

I'd say you are totally on your own - as Don says, ask the person doing the tune.

Welcome to the site, nice headers , as you stated your doing the tune.
For your expectations, this set up might need to be carefully considered, like the legal aspect of pollution devices and fuel trim.
A highflow cat and O2 sensor can get you better mileage.
Consider back pressure.

Can I ask what this build is about?
If someone did all this work I'm sure who ever did it can direct you to an aftermarket or OEM wide band O2 sensor and controller if need be.

I guess someone that knew what they were doing could modify the program for a wide band sensor. Sounds to me like you know just enough to be dangerous.

Is this supposed to be competition hyper-mileing? If not, what is wrong with stock 32 MPG highway? Is this just to monitor the A/F?

Not much use in monitoring the A/F since there is nothing the driver can do to control it. It is set to 14.7:1 the universally accepted optimum.

Any time I’ve used long tube headers it was to allow fast exhaust of the cylinder, that resulted in more air then fuel sucking in the intake runners, which caused a lean mixture and burnt pistons . Are you increasing the fuel injectors? Adding a blower or turbo?

That's why he wants a wide band O2 sensor.It reacts faster to rich/lean conditions.
If he can program his injector fuel table this would make things a lot easier.
You can still run forced induction. The wide band will help you know your limits.
It's like plug reading thru the ECM.
Way, way to lean or the other way around and fuel system will need to be addressed.
