I have a 2008 LT with the 2.4 and automatic transmission ( which I have to replace ) and I was wondering if a tranny from a 2.2L would work in my car? Also I've seen that some cobalt transmissions will work. Will someone give me advice and steer me in the right direction?

 

The 2.2 and 2.4 had the same 4T45E automatic transmission, might be different gear ratios in different years, but close enough, even the SS models had that same transmission maybe some fortified parts in it.
be careful with the electric connector and the gear shift cable, and change the fluid and filter, replace the pan gasket with a GM gasket, the aftermarket rubber ones leak.
