2007 Chevy HHR LT - Paint Code

I was wanting to pick up some paint to do a little cosmetic surgery on my HHR. I put my VIN in a decoder to give me my paint code. When I Goggle the paint code to find paint, it's always talking about 06 HHR's. Is this because the car was manufactured in 2006?

Is the RPO code sticker still on your glove box door? The paint code will be there. This company had a prefect match for my 2007 in Imperial blue metallic.

What is the tenth digit in your VIN? That is the year.
Paint code not part of the VIN. It is very difficult to figure.

That's a good resource. It doesn't tell you what color your car came with from the factory. Your car is red, there was only 1 red for HHR in 2007, other years had more choices for red. It's likely still wearing it's original paint. Verify it with the sticker oldblue referenced.

Except that ours doesn't work. It wants a "captcha" completed, but there isn't one there.
